PSA! It’s officially time to break out the cute maxi dresses, crop tops, and shorts that allow your skin to bask in the sunshine. Sometimes we as women don’t want to show off our body because we may be uncomfortable thanks to the few pounds we’ve gained during the wonderful winter months. I know this was very true for me, so the gym has become my new best friend. But that may not be the right option for everyone because let’s face it, life happens. We have jobs, a social life, children and sometimes that membership fee can be a little steep. A great alternative is exercising at home on your own schedule. So here are 8 of my favorite at-home workouts that will help to tone and sculpt your body to perfection!
We can all admit that we want the perfect booty. Let me introduce you to the squat jump then. It’s an extension of traditional squats to give your body that extra fat burn. Not to mention, it tightens and tones back muscles, leg muscles, and ab muscles.
Mountain Climbers is a great full body workout! It works on your biceps, triceps, abdominal area plus more.
Push-ups are seen as an essential workout and very effective when done correctly. It helps you build a strong upper body.
Another traditional exercise that is great to try are crunches. Their tummy-flattening purpose helps strengthen your core.
If you are in search of abs this summer then the V-Up is great for you. The V-Up primarily targets the rectus abdominis, which is the flat muscle that lies on top of your abs. It also requires that you to balance your body weight which is a cool additive.
The Tricep Dip is a powerful exercise that helps you achieve great arms. It primarily works your triceps (hence the name) but also engages your forearms, shoulders, chest and lower back.
Heel Sky Rise
Back to the booty. Add a nice shape and firmness to your bottom by doing Heel Sky Rises.
One of the hardest exercises for me is the plank. I’m not sure why but it remains to be a tough one. The plank is the best exercise for a flat, toned stomach because it works all the muscles in your core, including the rectus abdominals. So plank on!
So there you have it! Try some of these workouts for yourself and let me know how you like them. xoxo L
